Inscription
Here lyeth until this corruptible, shall have put on incorruption and his mortal, immortality the body of Edward G. Sass, who for many years a warden of this church, he yielded up his soul unto God, who gave it, on January 20th, 1849 in the 61st year of his age. To him, to die was gain, for them which sleep in Jesus, will God bring with him.
