I was born July 9, 1930 to Emil and Agnes Larson in Larimore, ND who farmed 5 miles west of Larimore. I attended country school for the first 6 years and then went to Larimore for the remaining years graduating in 1948. I was in the Army from 1948 to 1952 spending most of the time on Guam as a clerk typist. Under the GI Bill I attended the NDSSS taking up auto mechanics from 1952 to 1954. In 1954 I married Esther Andel and we moved to Larimore where I worked for the Case dealership. In 1957 we moved back to Wahpeton, ND where I worked for Sturdevants, Inc. repairing diesel pumps in injectors. The next move was to Big Rapids, MI in 1966 where I taught diesel at Ferris State University retiring in 1988. After retirement I had my own shop doing diesel work until 2003. Esther and I would spend time in FL for the winters until we started going to TX in 1997. Esther passed away in 2009 and I continue to go to TX for the winters. My children, Bev, Bill and Bruce all live around Big Rapids, MI. Esther and I started making up books on our families in 1994 and in 2009 I transferred all the information unto the Geni site.
