Marvin Carl Eagle went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2004, in his home in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in West Virginia on July 16,1914. He was a Superintendant of Dixon Powder Maker Furniture Company until his retirement in 1977. His eldest daughter, Doris (Eagle) Thompson, predeceased him in 1996. His loving wife, Anne Elizabeth (Steagall) Eagle, son, Eugene "Gene" Marvin Eagle and his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" (Lanier) Eagle, two daughters, Shirley (Eagle) Lovelace and Judy (Eagle) Stokes and her husband, Robert "Bob" Stokes, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren survived him. Family received friends on Saturday, January 31, 2004, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Marvin Carl Eagle, 89, were held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2004, in the chapel at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, Florida with Rev. Steve Grindstaff officiating. Interment followed in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery, located at 111 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park, Clay County, FL.
