Mrs. Sarah Brockway
Mrs. Sarah Brockway, aged 84 years, died this morning at 4:30 o'clock in her home at 347 Michigan Street after an illness of a number of months. She suffered a stroke of paralysis January 26 from which she never recovered.
Mrs. Brockway was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Brock and was a life-long resident of Lenawee County. She was married to Matthew Brockway, who preceded her in death in 1908. Three children also preceded her in death.
Surviving her are seven children, Mrs. Lucy Fox, Mrs. Alice Smith, Mrs. Bessie Carpenter and Leo Brockway of Adrian, Mrs. Zoe Green of Detroit, Virgil Brockway of Clayton and Roy Brockway of Ypsilanti, 32 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of the Friends Church for 37 years and was a regular attendant as long as her health permitted.
The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the home on Michigan Street and at 2 o'clock at the Frank Street Friends church. The burial will be in the Raisin Valley Cemetery. Friends are to omit flowers.
