Mrs. Helen Anna Trauernicht, 58, of rural New Douglas died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 1977, in St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

She was born on Dec. 8, 1918, in Alhambra, a daughter of the late William and Sophia Determann Blowmker.

On Jan. 31, 1942 in Staunton, she was married to Henry William Trauernicht. He died on Nov. 22, 1972.

Surviving are a son John Trauernicht of New Douglas, daughters, Mrs. Elva Klekamp of Decatur, Miss Elouise Trauernicht of Phoeniz, Ariz., Mrs. Doris Ferre of Decatur and Mrs. Marcella Chestnut of Livingston, four grandchildren, brothers, Alfred Bloemker and Melvin Bloemker of rural New Douglas, Harold Bloemker of rural Pocahontas and William Bloemker of St. Jacob, a sister, Mrs. Anita Mollett of New Douglas, and a half-brother, Walter Hamann of McPherson, Kan.

Mrs. Trauernicht was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, two half-brothers, four half-sisters, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be in Lesicko Funeral Home in New Douglas after 4 p.m. Thursday and after 12:30 Friday in the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Staunton.

A funeral service will be held in the church at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. H. F. Rinderknecht officiating. Burial will be in New Douglas Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the church or to the American Cancer Society.
