Brenda Anne (Nees) Christian, age 40 years, passed away December 27, 2012 at Toni & Trish House in Auburn. She was born in Bay City on October 29, 1972. Brenda was extremely active in community matters and worked tirelessly to help people. She was employed as the Program Development Director for Bay Area Housing and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Saige Christian, Saige's father, Orland Christian, her parents Jim and Lou Nees, a sister, Sandy (Paul) Prevost, a brother, Dan (Barb) Nees, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral and committal services will be on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kevin C. Jones will officiate. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. She will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions can be made to Toni & Trish House or Immanuel Lutheran Church Buy A Brick Fund.
