Services for Lawrence W. Abare, 51, of Oswego River Road, Phoenix, who died Monday, May 29, at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton, were held Friday, June 2, at Alllanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home
and in St. Stephen's Church. Burial was Saturday in Chase Cemetery, Lysander. A native of Keese Mills, Mr. Abare lived in the Phoenix area since 1963. He was a carpenter for Pompey Construction Co., Jamesville. Mr. Abare was communicant of St.
Stephen's Church, Carpenters Union Local 12, the Mad River Club, and the National Rifle Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Prue; two sons, Donald E. of Phoenix, AZ,
and Gene L. of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers,
James of Panther Lake, and John F. of Brewerton; a sister, Ruth Kleach of Clay; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Two of his children, Nancy and Allen, died in a car accident July 29,1982.
