Blackey twins drown
The twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Collins of near Blackey were drowned Monday during a birthday outing.
Leslie and Lester Collins were drowned when one twin fell from a boat in the Kentucky River and the other attempted to save him.
It was the twins' 16th birthday and they reportedly were on an outing celebrating the event.
Young companions said they saw the twins leave the boat and tried to reach them by paddling out on a makeshift raft fashioned from a junked automobile top, but the raft would not stay afloat.
