Wilbur C. Abbott, 83, who operated a garage on Union Common for 40 years, died Sunday at a Rockland, Maine hospital.
He was born February 13, 1883 at Knox, Maine, the son of Dewitt and Isabelle (Cox) Abbbott.
He drove a school bus for 25 years before his retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Isabel C. Abbott of Union, Maine and Susan A. Farris of Searsport, Maine and four grandhcildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at People's Methodist Church in Union with Rev. Charles D. Kinney officiating.
Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery.
