Son of John Anderson and Elizabeth Faris. Born at Mandaville, Carroll Co. Missouri. Enlisted on June 1, 1863 as a private in the Civil War on the Union side; discharged July 19, 1864 at st. Louis, Missouri. Re-enlisted July 20, 1864 in Co. D, 13th Missouri Cavalry; discharged as Corporal on Jan. 11, 1866 at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Married to Ettie Reynolds Ingram, Jan. 31, 1922.

Francis Marion Anderson, member of Ontario post, Grand Army of the Republic, and of the Last Man's club, died at his home, 802 East A. street, yesterday, the birthday anniversary of Abraham Lincoln, the martyred president under whom he served in the Civil War.
Mr. Anderson was 89 years, 1 months and 2 days of age. His passing leaves but four members in the Last Man's club, which was organized October 16, 1930, by 12 Grand Army men.
Mr. Anderson, who was a native of Mandaville, Mo, had resided in Ontario for the last 34 years. At the time of the Civil War, he enlisted in Missouri. Following the war, he was sent with two companies of men to establish Fort Dodge. He is survived by his widow. Interment will be in Bellevue cemetery. Members of A. Podrasnik camp, Sons of Union Veterans, are to serve as pall bearers and members of Mary Brainerd tent, Daughters of Veterans, will be honorary pall bearers.
