Deborah Ann Geer, 66, of Bunker Hill, IL, died at Surrey Place, Chesterfield, MO, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 3:50 am. She was born January 11, 1952, in Alton, IL and raised in Bunker Hill, IL. She was the daughter of Edward Girth & Dorothy (Cooper) Girth.

She married Harvey "Butch" Geer on December 31, 1980 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death after 29 years of marriage living in St. Ann, MO.

She worked for SIUE for 18 years. For the past 20 years, she was involved in genealogy helping family and friends search their family history. Deborah was a graduate of Bunker Hill High School and a graduate of SIUE where she received her degree in music. Deborah had taught piano to numerous students in Bunker Hill. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church and she was treasurer for St. Michael's Women's Council. She was also a member of the Bunker Hill Historical Society and Bunker Hill Alumni.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Girth of Bunker Hill, IL, sisters, Candice Girth of Wildwood, MO, Cynthia Girth of Wildwood, MO, aunt, Nora Girth of Wood River, IL, sister in law, Mary Swope of St. Charles, MO, brothers in law, Bill (Sherry) Geer of St. Louis, MO, Charles (Angie) Geer of Granite City, IL, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Deborah was preceded in death by her spouse, father, grandparents, Edward and Carrie Girth, John and Bertha Cooper.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Funeral mass will be Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Staunton, IL with Father George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bunker Hill, IL.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Michael's Catholic Church or Bunker Hill Alumni.
