She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, son Leo, Daughter-in-law Genatta, and son-in-law Jerry Cogbill and also 3 brothers and one sister.
She is survived by daughter Loree Cogbill and Mike Maverick: grandchildren Cindy Evans, Doretha Harrison, Spouse Michael, Deanna Berg, Spouse Steven, Kathleen McMordie, spouse Bruce, Kenneth Davis, spouse Terri, and 12 great grandchildren.
Ivy was a seamstress who sewed for the public most of her married years and took care of her home and children. She worked out in the public occasionally and for several years after the death of her husband. She was always active in her church as a teacher, singing in the Choir, Bible Study, a leader in Mission Organizations, and worked at the Abilene State School while she lived in Abilene Texas.
After retirement she moved from Abilene to Pasadena and was an active member for many years at First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Ivy was active with "The Bridge" in Pasadena for over 20 years, East Harris County Senior Activities and also Pasadena AARP.
Services will be at Pasadena Funeral Chapel 2203 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena TX. on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at noon with Dr. Jon Redmond Officiating.
Graveside service will be Friday morning at 10:00 am Elmwood Cemetery in Abilene TX.
The family has asked for memorials to be given to "The Bridge Over Troubled Waters" P0 Box 3488 Pasadena TX. or West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 4601 Harford, Abilene TX .
