Herbert Penick Pearson Jr.

Herbert Penick Pearson Jr., 55, of 2434 Cobb St. died at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Lynchburg General Hospital following a long illness.

Born in Lynchburg, he was a son of Mary Elizabeth Burnette Pearson of Lynchburg and Herbert Penick Pearson. He was a member of Fairview Christian Church and a veteran of World War II. He had been employed by the Chap Stick Division of the A.H. Robbins Co. for 18 years.

In addition to his Mother, he is survived by his wife,Reba Drinkard Pearson; a son, Herbert P. Pearson III of Lynchburg; two daughters Peggy A Pearson and Debra K. Pearson of Lynchburg; a brother Richard C. Pearson of Lynchburg, and five sisters, Mrs. Austin Quick of Lynchburg, Mrs. Roy Health of Pittsburgh,Texas, Mrs. Emmett Saunders of Moneomee Falls, Wisc., Mrs Joseph C. Scoville of Florence,S.C., and Mrs. Howard Perrow of Madison Heights.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Spring Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Melvin Campbell. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.

Note: spelling of Mrs. Roy Health-name is actually spelled Heath-also- his deceased siblings were Lacey Allan Pearson,Mrs. Lucille Pearson Wright,Christopher William Pearson,Julian Alfred Pearson at the time of Herbert's death-not listed in this Memorial Card.
