The remains of Pfc George
Baker arrived in Macon, Tuesday
night and brought to this
city for final services, arranged
to be held at 4:00 o'clock
Thursday from the Turkey
Creek Baptist Church with the
Rev. O. D. Hlghtower pastor, officiating
with burial to follow
In the family plot in the Robinson
Chapel Church cemetery.
Pfc George Baker was drowned
in Vietnam and is the husband
of Mrs. Thomasina Bradford
Baker of Rowe Street and
son of Deacon and Mrs. S. B.
Baker of this city. The body can
be viewed by the public as it
lie in state in the parlor of
Wyche's Funeral Home, arrangers
of the Services

DROWNED IN VIETNAM
Pfc George Baker, well known
graduate of the Mary
Fleming High School, who entered
the U. S. Army, November,
1969, was reported drowned
where he was stationed in Vietnam
to the wife, the former
Miss Thomasina Bradford and
his parents, Mrs. Thirlie M.
Baker and Deacon S. D. Baker,
all of this city.
Pfc. George Baker was a
member of the Turkey Creek
Baptist Church and served In
several organizations including
chairman of the Usher board
before entering the arm services.
Date and time for the final
services will be given when the
Army announces the time of arrival
of the remains to arrive in
Dublin. Arrangements win be
by Wyche's Funeral Home.
