WEST COLUMBIA — Services for Marie G. Aaron, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005, in the Chapel of Hope at Southland Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Alexander Twedt, with entombment to follow. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 1301 12th St., Cayce, SC 29033.
Mrs. Aaron, widow of George W. Aaron, died Saturday, September 17, 2005. Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Shephard and Blanche James Gordon. Mrs. Aaron was a member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church and had retired from The State Newspaper.
Surviving are her two daughters; three sons and three daughters-in-law; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
