ELLIS, MRS. SIBYL ALGELENE TIPTON, age 86, of Birmingham, AL passed away January 18, 2008. Mrs. Ellis was a resident of Fultondale and a long time member of the Fultondale Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Tipton and Tezzie Johnson as well as her husband Govy Lafayette Ellis.
Mrs. Ellis is survived by one daughter, Karen Ellis Stough and her husband John; 1 grandson, Andrew Stough; 1 brother, Albert Johnson of Spring, Texas; nieces, Patsy Rooney, Barbara Johnson and Rebecca Rooney; nephews, Dr. Patrick Odum, Ed Odum and Eric Johnson; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with internment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jack Rollins officiating. Her family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 2 at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to The American Heart Association or the U.S.O.
