He was born in Nebraska and as a young man came to Idaho by riding the rails.
In October 1985 he married LaVelle Hinman in Elko, Nev. They lived in Lewiston and spent winters in Quartzsite, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Vanetta Lomax, in Georgia; son, Earl, in Cathlamet, Wash.; stepson, Larry Hinman, in Colville, Wash.; three sisters, Vera, Charlotte and Alberta; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Edwin was preceded in death by both parents, a granddaughter, and a brother, Bernard.
Cremation will take place at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lewiston, with a family memorial to follow at a later date.
