Supervisor Edwin B. Abbey of the First and Sixth Wards, died suddenly on Wednesday afternoon at his home in Seneca street from pneumonia, having been ill but a few days. The deceased was a contractor and mason and was very popular with a large circle of friends and acquaintances, having been elected twice as Democratic supervisor from this district. He was a veteran of the civil war and a member of Scheck post, The funeral sevices were held from the late home Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Peck officiating. Burial made in Mt Adnah. Survivors are his widow and a son.
