Wife of Matthew. Mother of Carol, Matthew, Eileen, Michael, Colleen, and the late Kathryn. My mother was a wonderful woman. She devoted her whole life to her husband and her children. Nothing else mattered. Her mother died when she was 2 years old. Her father was an alcoholic and not fit to raise a child, so he left her with her grand parents. They raised her and when her grandmother died she and her beloved "Papa" went to live with his son and her uncle, Arthur. She met my father and they were married for 51 years when my mother passed away. Matthew and Gladys were the cutest couple. They loved us kids and gave us the best of everything. They did everything together and were hardly ever apart. They would go for walks every night and hold hands. One of our neighbors took a picture of them because no one believed they had been married that long and still held hands. It gives me great comfort to know that Gladys and her beloved Mattthew are together, forever in eternity, with their precious daughter, Kathryn. I would like to thank everyone who has left flowers on all three of their sites. Your acts of kindness have touched my heart more than you know. A very special Thank you to Janet Mickelson for sponsoring my Mother's site.
