A Home Going Celebration will be held for Mr. Auguster Abram, Jr., 71 at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 5, 2013 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, New Iberia, LA.

Auguster Abram, was born on March 1, 1942 to the late Auguster Abram Sr. and Rosella Chatman Archon in New Iberia, LA. He was a United States Veteran and spent his last few days at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home.

AJ was a devoted and faithful member of Mount Calvary church. His favorite Psalm was 27, "the Lord is my light and salvation…" He believed that God was his rescuer and protector. His trust was in our Lord and this brought him peace. In his past time AJ loved to attend sporting events. He was a fan of New Iberia High school football as well as ULL college football. He believed in helping others and gave freely. You could always count on a good story from AJ and he had jokes. In visiting him during his illness, often you would leave his room with a smile. He was kind, humble and possesses a gentle spirit.

He leaves to cherish his memory and in Gods care, one sister, Clara Abram Massey, a brother-in-law Edward J Sam, nieces, Shirlyn Sam Randle (Charles) and Edwina Sam Mallery (Raymond), nephews Christopher Abram and Roderick Sam (Delores), cousin Cathy Morris and a host of relatives and friends.

He now joins in glory with his parents, Auguster Abram, Sr. and Rosella Archon, one sister Shirley Abram Sam; maternal grandparents, Arthur Castillo and Christina Castillo.
