EARL R. SARTWELL
Earl R. Sartwell, 79, of House 79, Reliance, died Friday, June 10 at 9:10 p.m. at Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for one day. He had been in ill health for two months.
Mr. Sartwell was born Jan. 15, 1887, in Cleveland, N.D. He was a veteran of World War I, when he served with the United States Army. He had lived in Reliance for two years. Prior to that time he was a resident of Lander.
A retired electrician, the deceased is survived by his wife, Bessie, Reliance; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Tredewell, [Correction by Yvonne Smith: Mrs. Charles Byron (May) Tradewell] Bloomington, Calif., and Mrs. George (Sue) Carson, Eureka, Calif.; several nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lander Valley Mortuary Chapel in Lander. Military graveside services were conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, with burial at Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander.
