Vernon Patrick McIntyre, age 57 of Flower Mound, TX passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013. Vernon was born on March 1, 1956 in Darby, PA to Glen E. McIntyre and Florence L. Overcash. He proudly served in the United States Navy for ten years, from April 10, 1974-February 12, 1985. He completed the U.S. Navy Fire Control Ballistic Missile Course in 1976. He completed the Fire Control Technician Torpedo Course in 1981 and the Cleveland Institute of Electronics Course in 1983. He served his time of duty on submarines. Vernon married Barbara Kay Shinkle, the love of his life, who preceded him in death on February 24, 2009. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters and brothers in- law, and several nieces and nephews.
