Census records show birth closer to 1786.
According to her daughter's obit (Elizabeth Frevert), Catherine and her husband arrived in Madison in 1830 and her husband died a year later. The only Bachman listed on the 1830 census is Alois Bachman (born between 1780 & 1790). The obit states Elizabeth was the brother of James Bachman (b about 1822 in Germany).
