Ruffin –Gradie Ollie Hall Strader, 86, of 183 Guerrant Springs Road, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Morehead Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Strader, Alex Strader, Ryan Strader, Jon Gantt, Tommy Wayne Gantt, Greg Lasley, James Duggins and Joshua French.

Mrs. Strader was born in Stokes County to the late George W. and Emma Murphy Hall. She was a retiree of Burlington Industries and a member of Dan River Primitive Baptist Church. She loved to cook and can and she even compiled a cookbook. Most of all she adored being a grandma. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Strader, Sr.; eleven brothers and sisters and grandson, Tommy L. Strader, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Percy Strader, Jr. and wife June, Tommy Strader and wife, Nancy and George Strader and wife, Lillian; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Gracie Strader and many loving nieces and nephews.

Wilkerson Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
