Janet Marie Conly Beard (61) passed December 7, 2010, from a long illness. Janet lived in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Born July 15, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Robbie Nell Conly and Woodrow Wilson Conly. Janet graduated Fairpark High School 1967, married Rodney Beard July 26, 1969, and resided in Shreveport, Louisiana until 2006. She worked 30 years at Atlas Refinery as an executive assistant. Janet loved animals, hot air ballooning, travel, spending time with grandchildren and with friends. Janet was a long time member of Eastern Star.
Janet is survived by Rodney Beard - husband (Oak Ridge, TN), Candace and Allen Eubanks – daughter and son-in-law (Oak Ridge, TN), Christina and Ben VanMeter – daughter and son-in-law (Oak Ridge, TN), Ethan Eubanks – grandson, Isabella VanMeter – granddaughter, Evelyn Eubanks – granddaughter, Jocelyn VanMeter – granddaughter, Jarrad "Bubba" and Maggie Conly – brother and sister-in-law (Shreveport, LA), Heather and Jeff Brown – niece (Shreveport, LA), Jarrad and Jennifer Conly – nephew (Shreveport, LA), Cullen Conly, Drake Brown, Colt Conly.
The memorial service will be held Friday, December 10, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, TN. Receiving of friends will be from 6-7pm with service following immediately at 7pm.
A memorial service will be held in Shreveport, LA at Christ United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held in Etters, PA after the first of the year.
