Rose E. Davis, 75, of Calcium, died Sunday evening at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Thursday, at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, with Rev. Mona Fargo, pastor of the Adams and Sulphur Springs United Methodist Churches, officiating. Burial will follow in the Smithville Cemetery. Calling hours are 1:00-3:00 pm preceding the funeral.

Born May 28, 1938 in Theresa, daughter of Paul and Mary Jobson Davis, she attended Theresa school.

A marriage to Robert Sampson Sr. ended in divorce.

Rose has lived with her son, Robert, in Calcium.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Samson, Adams Center; Robert Samson Jr., Calcium; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one brother, Sid Davis, Henderson; two sisters, Donna (Nelson) Schorr, Watertown; Mary Arlene Hatch, Watertown; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three sisters, Betty Vasek, Doris Burns, Norma Barden, and three brothers, Harley Davis, Carl Davis, and Buddy Davis.

Rose enjoyed dancing in her youth and her dog Pooh Bear.
