A funeral service for Paul Lawrence Berry Sr., a retired real estate executive and city official in Breckenridge Hills, was held Wednesday at the Wade Twin Chapel, 4800 Natural Bridge Avenue. Burial was in Valhalla Cemetery.
Mr. Berry, 62, of Breckenridge Hills, died Saturday (Feb. 17, 1996) at DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton after a brief illness.
For 20 years, he operated Berry Realtors in Overland. He retired in 1993.
He also was a general building contractor for many years in St. Louis.
He was chairman of the Breckenridge Hills Planning and Zoning Board. He served for 10 years on that community's city council, of which he was chairman for four years.
Among the survivors are his wife, Shirley Jean Berry of Breckenridge Hills; a daughter, Angela Denise Rolen of Overland; three sons, Paul L. Berry Jr. of Maryland Heights, Raymond Charles Berry of Atlanta and James Calvin Berry of Florissant; two brothers, Charles E. Berry of Wentzville and the Rev. Henry Berry of St. Louis; two sisters, Thelma Smith and and Lucy Williamson, both of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
