Ruth Emilia Mudge is the daughter of John W. Mudge and his wife Mary Fox Mudge. Ruth first married John Charles Sharrow. Second Gaylord Shagena. Three of her children died within days of each other in 1922 during a second outbreak of the 1819 flu epidemic. She never recovered from the sorrow. After the divorce from her second husband who had abandoned the family her eldest son Charles dropped out of school to be caretaker to her and his younger siblings. She died after a long fight with esphageal cancer. She was living with her son Milo at the time of her death. She is buried in a plot in the far corner of the cemetary with the three children. The graves were in poor condition from the ground errosion, with small markers for the children when last viewed in 1990.
