He was born Sept. 11, 1959, in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Albert and Virginia (Gomoll) Suckow. Roy earned his associates degree at M.A.T.C. in Milwaukee and his bachelor of science degree at Saginaw Valley State University. On Dec. 2, 1978, he married Vera Protic in Brookfield, Wis., Roy worked as a chemist for The Dow Chemical Co. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, where her served on the church council and also enjoyed working on cars - especially AMC cars.
His great sense of humor will be missed by his wife Vera; his loving children Albert, Amanda, and Heidi, all at home; parents, Albert and Virginia Suckow; brothers and sisters Dennis (Pat), Bonnie (Ken), Gary (Cheryl) and Judy (Mike); his special uncle, George Pieper; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Timothy Paul.
Funeral service will take place at p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at The Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St. The Rev. Christian McMullan of St. Timothy Lutheran Church will officiate, with private burial to take place in Midland cemetery.
Roy's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
