--Mrs. Emma Janie Dudley, age 70, wife of Stantford Dudley and mother of Mrs. Valorous C. Rector, of here, died at 4:10 p. m. today at her home in New Castle. She had lived at New Castle for 28 years.
Surviving besides the husband are five sons, Lloyd, Harrison, Melvin, and Harold, all of New Castle; William of Spiceland; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Foster, of New Castle; Mrs. Valorous C. Rector of here; Mrs. Ernest Seagraves, of Moreland; two step-daughters, Mrs. Walter Grunden, Mrs. Roy Morris, both of New Castle; one step-son, Verlie Dudley, of New Castle; 37 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The body was brought here to the Valorous C. Rector funeral home and will remain there until the funeral at 2 p. m. Sunday. Services will be at the Harlan church near Wilkinson with burial in the Harlan cemetery.
