Phoeby Viola Bard, age 74, a resident of the Town of Brooklyn, died, Dec. 4,1992 at the Community Memorial Hospital Spooner.

She was born April 1,1918 to Gilbert W.Sr. and Ettie Mae (Stoneback)Mack in the township of Chicog, Washburn County. She attended the Mack Lake area schools and on November 3,1937 was united in marriage to Ernest Bard. The couple continued to live in the area until 1942, when they moved to Kenosha. She was employed by American Motors Corp., retiring after 22 years and returned to the family farm in the township of Brooklyn, where they continued to reside until the time of her death.

She was active in the Chicog Fire Deptment Auxiliary and the Friendship Birthday Club. Other interests were traveling, raising animals and deer hunting.

Survivors are husband, Ernest; one son, Wayne Bard, Fond du Lac; two daughters, Judith Schlagel, Kenosha and Velm, Union Grove; 15 grandchildren, five sisters and two brothers.

Preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter.

Funeral seervices were Tuesday, at Dahl Funeral Home with Rev. John Soward officiating.
Interment at Chicog Cemetery.
