Winthrop Farmer, Charles LaTrace, Buried in Buckton
Winthrop- Charles Allen LaTrace, 62, died Thursday morning, Aug. 9, 1956, in the Potsdam Hospital where he had been a patient for three days.
Born Sept. 16, 1893 in Stockholm, he was the son of the late Albert and Venilla Seaver LaTrace. Mr. LaTrace never married. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Brasher Falls Methodist Church. He was a farmer in the
Winthrop area most of his life.
Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the Hammill Funeral Home, with Rev. A.F. Knapp, pastor of the Brasher Falls Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Buckton cemetery.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Daniel (Cressy) Demo of Potsdam, Mrs. Avis Cummings of Winthrop and Mrs. George(Pearl) Green of Winthrop, three brothers, Howard of Fernando Valley, Calif.; Oakley of Rochester, Kyle of Brasher Falls, RD 2, and several nieces and nephews.
