Larry W. Koelemay

Larry W. Koelemay went to be with his Savior on December 3, 2013. Larry was born in Shreveport and lived most of his life in Bossier Parish. He answered the call to defend his country, serving in the Vietnam Conflict as a proud member of the U.S. Army. Larry met Dianne, the love of his life, while he was in high school, and they were married during a leave from the Army. Their marriage has lasted for 44 years. Following his service to the country he began his career with Koelemay Electronics and played a key role in the business for over thirty years. Larry loved music and his talent as a drummer led him to play with the well-known group, The Convertibles, for many years. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry; his father, Lawrence; and his brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his beloved Dianne; his daughter, Lee Sojourner; his grandchildren, Emily and Alyssa; his Mother, Dell; brothers, Keith and Daryl and his sister, Debbie. A Memorial Service will be held at Boone Funeral Home on December 10, 2013 at 2 p.m.
