Mary Iola Alvord passed on May 22, at the age of 98, she was born in Mt. Vernon, Wash.
She married Benjamin Alvord on November 28, 1930, in Nooksack [Whatcom Co.], Wash. Mary worked as a book store clerk at Cal State University in San Jose. She was a rock hound, loved gardening and bingo.
She is survived by daughters: Barbara White (Jack), Jeannette Breglio (Jack), seven granddaughters, two grandsons, seven great-granddaughters, ten great grandsons, two great-great granddaughters and three great-great grandsons.
She is preceded in death by Benjamin Alvord, her husband, on July 5, 2003.
Services are planned for Thursday, May 31, at 2 p.m., at New Elm Ridge Cemetery, Grass Valley....
