Eloise R. Stuebing, 86, formerly of Timberly Heights, currently a resident of the Chicora Medical Center where she was lovingly cared for, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chicora Medical Center.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1927, in South Orange, N.J., to the late Joseph C. Rile and Elsie Marie (Weber) Rile.
Mrs. Stuebing earned a bachelors in education at Penn State University, and worked with mentally challenged children in the Mansfield, Ohio, area. She was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority and was voted Dreamgirl at Pi Kappa Alpha in 1948.
Mrs. Stuebing was an accomplished seamstress and loved tending to her flower garden. She enjoyed bowling, playing golf and playing bridge.
Mrs. Stuebing is survived by her son, Alex Stuebing and his wife, Heidi, of Tampa, Fla.; her three daughters, Melanie McGhee and her husband, Richard, of Granville, Ohio, Patricia Dentino and her husband, Edward, of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Jennifer Stuebing of Butler; her four grandchildren, Ashley and Lindsey Dentino, Jack Wilson and Carrie Wallace; her two great-grandchildren; her brother, Thomas Rile of California, Pa., and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Frederick Stuebing, who passed away on April 22, 2010, her sister and her brother.
Stuebing - The friends of Eloise R. Stuebing, who passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert C. Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Northside Cemetery.
The family suggests any memorial donations be made to the Memory Lane Unit of the Chicora Medical Center to aid in patient activities, C/O Chicora Medical Center, 160 Medical Center Road, Chicora, PA 16025.
