Larry R. McElravy, 69, of Crosby Lane, Karns City, passed away Friday afternoon at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a brief illness.
Larry was born in Rimersburg on Sept. 14, 1944. He was the son of Raymond H. "Buck" McElravy of Karns City and the late Dorothy P. Reddinger McElravy.
Mr. McElravy was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed being around children and was an avid dog lover. Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.
In addition to his father, Larry is survived by one son, Bradley McElravy and his wife, Tammy, of New Brighton; two grandchildren, Devin and Trinity McElravy; one brother, Marshall R. McElravy and his wife, Peggy; one sister, Linda Roudebush and her husband, Larry, all of Karns City; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his mother, who died Dec. 23, 1993, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marsha Truman, who died Feb. 21, 2010.
MCELRAVY - Friends of Larry R. McElravy, who died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from noon to 2 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Robert Hile Jr., pastor of the Butler Church of God of Prophecy, officiating.
Interment will be in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001.
