Thomas R. Palmer, 77, of Harmony went home Monday to be with the Lord while in the comfort of his home.
Born on Oct. 8, 1936, in Fombell, he was the son of the late Shelley and Ruth (Tucker) Palmer.
Tom was an active member of the St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople for many years. He retired in 1999, as a Teamsters truck driver for the Chemical Leaman Trucking Co., where he drove 2 million miles without an accident.
Tom was a member of Tri-State Hart-Parr, the Oliver Collectors Association, the Moraine Area Tractor Cruisers and the Big Knob Antique Tractor & Equipment Association. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the way he always joked around with others, and how he always had a smile on his face. Above all, Tom was an adoring husband to Jean, loving father and grandfather who loved going camping with his grandchildren and whose home was the gathering place for the holidays. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
He is survived by his three children, Bill Bennett and his fiancee, Lynn, of Zelienople, Doug Palmer and his wife, Erin, of Ellwood City and Heather Zeigler and her husband, Ed, of Renfrew; his brother, Shelley Palmer and his wife, Darlene, of New Galilee, Pa.; his four sisters, Marie Glover of Detroit, Mich., Louise White of Harmony, Juanita Eppinger and her husband, Rich, of Zelienople and Judy Barnhart of Harmony, and his 10 grandchildren, Kyler, Bailey, Alexis, Ryan, Travis, Taryn, Walker, Andrew, Lucy and Holly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean Palmer, who he married on March 18, 1965, and who passed away on April 30, 2012; his two brothers, and his four sisters.

The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
