Mildred H. Sherman, 90, formerly of White Oak Drive, died today at Chicora Medical Center.
Born April 4, 1914, in Butler, she was the daughter of Alfred L. and Maude D. McCord Turner.
She was retired from the Butler County Assessment office and a member of North Street Christian Church.
She is survived by a son, David A. Sherman of Butler; three grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Sherman, who died Oct. 15, 1988; a son; and four brothers.
MILDRED H. SHERMAN - Friends of Mildred H. Sherman, who died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert C. Huber, her pastor, and the Rev. Phillip Conyers of Oak Hills Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Chapel of All Faiths Mausoleum at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Program of the Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road, Butler.
