GLOUSTER — Waunita A. Jones, 80, of Glouster passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains. Born May 26, 1933, in Chardon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harland and Edna Daines Webster.
She retired from the Athens Mental Health Center and formerly worked at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital and Woolworth's in Athens. She was a member of The Plains V.F.W., the Glouster Eagles, and the Meigs County D.A.V. She enjoyed cooking, canning food, babysitting, and being surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy (Larry) Douglas, Robin "Sis" Jones, and Jeanne "Ponch" (Jack) Nagucki; five sons, Sam (Ellen) Jones, Randy (Kathy) Lucas, James "Plute" (Luanne Weisenback) Jones, Bill (Loretta) Jones, and John (Kim) Jones; 22 grandchildren, David, Angie, Amy, Ashley, Shawna, Lenora, Kenny, Monica, J.J., Charlie, Olivia, Hilary, Cyrus, Keri, Kelsey, Kelly, Johnny, Jenna, Ryan, Jack, Sam, and Kim; two brothers, Raymond (Carolyn) Webster, and Jerry (Jody) Webster; five sisters, Aloha Danielson, Shirley Rutter, Jean Wogamon, Carolyn Sheridan, and June Sntas; in-laws, Dick Heightland and Marion Webster; and special friends, Brenda Smith Stobart, Kathy Coe, Jackie Patton and Jim Love.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie C. Jones; two grandsons, Mike Jones and Jack Lane; three sisters, Rosemary Heightland, Betty Angelotti, and Helen Johnson; three brothers, Charles, Daniel, and Frederick Webster.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hickory Creek for all their care.
Funeral services will be conducted by John Jones and Jack Nagucki at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at the Bishopville Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield. Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.
