Cooper Newton Andrews, Sr., age 83, of Route 2, Pulaski, died Thursday morning at his home. Born in Pulaski County, Feb. 20, 1907, he was the son of the late Riley Andrews & Betty Whitt Andrews. He was retired from the Radford Arsenal. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Southern Andrews; one son, Cooper N. Andrews, Jr., Roanoke; one sister, Carrie A. Goad, Pulaski; one half-brother, Riley Andrews, Amherst; one half-sister, Virginia Overstreet, Maryland. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Goodman officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Mausoleum, Dublin. Visiting will be Friday after 1 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
