He was born on Feb. 2, 1945, in Mahanoy City, Pa., the son of the late Francis Joseph Brennan Jr. and the late Colleen Virginia (Campbell) Brennan.
Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in 101st Airborne Special Forces during the Vietnam War.
He had been a truck driver for more than 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing Civil War re-enactments.
Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Diane H. (Weckerly) Brennan of Butler; his daughter, Bridget Brennan of Manassas, Va.; his three sons, Francis J. (Tammy) Brennan IV of Toronto, Ohio, Charles (Tessa) Brennan of Stanley, Va., and Matthew Brennan of Manassas, Va.; his stepdaughter, Crystal Murray of Butler; his stepson, Lewis Murray of St. Marys, Pa.; his 15 grandchildren, his sister, Patty (Jerry) Ray of Williamsburg, Va., and his brother, Robert (Darlene) Brennan of Weirton, W.Va.
BRENNAN - Private service and burial for Francis "Frank" J. Brennan III, 68, of Butler passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
