Lorene B. "Renie" Snowberger, 63, of 9160 Gap Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born April 2, 1937, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd B. and Iva E. Pentz Snowberger.

She was a 1955 graduate of Quincy (Pa.) High School.

She retired in 1994 from Waynesboro Police Department, where she worked part time as a dispatcher. She had been employed by Wayne Sportswear in Waynesboro for 27 years, as a cleaner, then as an inspector.

She was a member of Waynesboro Fish and Game Association.

She is survived by two sisters, Kathryn E. Snowberger and Jean H. Snowberger, both at the family home; and cousins.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., in Waynesboro. The Rev. Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Quincy.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
