Barringer, Robert L., age 91 of Centerville, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Sterling House of Washington Twp. He was born September 12, 1922 in West Carrollton, the son of the late Frank & Beatrice (Scheuter) Barringer.

Preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Roseanne Barringer. Bob graduated from West Carrollton High School Class of 1940, received his BME degree in 1949 from the General Motors Institute and attended the University of Cincinnati. A retired Engineer from Frigidaire with 40 years of service. Honorably served in Europe during WWII and served during the Korean Conflict. A 14 year member of the West Carrollton City Council, a 50 year member of the West Carrollton Lodge #737 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, the Antioch Shrine of Dayton, American Legion Post #165, Miamisburg, and Memorial United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Thelma "Reenie" Barringer, son Rick Houston (Denise), granddaughters Stacy Philpot (Bill), Megan Astrouski (Brad), great granddaughters Gwendolyn Grace Philpot, Evelyn Noel Philpot, and great grandson Gabriel Warren Philpot.
