JoAnn Berry Athnos, 62, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2001. She was born in Jacksonville to the late Ethelyn Walters and Charles Edwin Berry and was a lifelong resident here. JoAnn worshiped in the Baptist faith and worked for the WalMart Corporation for the last ten years. She graduated from Andrew Jackson H.S. in 1957. Survivors include her children, K. Melanie Smith (Mike) and J. Richard Harnage (Melinda), two sisters, Charlene Hanson of Birmingham, AL and Linda Bailey (Robert) of Daytona Beach, two grandchildren, Jennifer Lee Harnage and Jack Richard Harnage, Jr., and four nieces and nephews, Allison Hanson Smith, Dr. John Charles Hanson, Stephanie Lumpkin and Stephen Robert Bailey. The Reverend Donald L. Cooley will lead Graveside services at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2001 in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-7:00 PM at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 4315 Main St.
