Phillip "Sam" William Adams 80 passed away March 22, 2014. Sam was born October 10, 1933 in Neliegh, Nebraska to Cecilia Sastny and Clifford Adams. In 1942 Sam moved to California. He graduated from Gardena High School in 1951. Sam completed schooling at El Camino College on the G.I. bill. Sam proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for 55 years as an Air Conditioning Mechanic with the Pipe and Steam Fitters Local 250. Sam and Patty met at the Rambling Knights Car Club in 1952 and have been together for 62 years. They were married in 1955 at St. Pius V Catholic Church. Survivors include Sam's wife, Patty, sister, Phyllis, his children, Kim and Raymond, four grandchildren, Shanna, Andrea, Jared and Robert and his precious great grandchildren Mikaila, Alexis, Ryan, Makana, Ryder and Leilani. Sam's family express their gratitude to Alliance Hospice Care. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of "Sam Adams" to Victorville Homeless Shelter 14049 Amargosa Road, Victorville, CA 92392, Holy Family Food Pantry, 9974 I Ave., Hesperia, CA 92345, or Visiting Nurses Association Mourning Star Program, 18169 Bear Valley Road, Hesperia, CA 92345. Services for Sam will be held on Monday , March 31st, 11:00 AM at the Roy Rogers Dale Evans Chapel at Sunset Hills, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA. A reception will follow at Sunset Hills. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA on Tuesday, April 1st at 10:30 AM Updated service information and a on line guest book are available at sunsethills.cc.
