Al went to Oakland Tech High School where he received a football scholarship to San Jose State. He served his country in the Korean War and was employed by the Oakland School District. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Pat Mangini, son Alvin and wife Robin, two grandchildren and one great grandson. Also two predeceased children, Clifford and Karen.
