Harold Robert Fox Harold Robert Fox, 96, a farmer of Ivanhoe, passed away Sunday March 30, 2014. Harold was born in Rozel, Kansas to Arthur and Mae Fox on July 13, 1917. He was schooled in rural Kansas and received a Bachelors and a Masters degree in agricultural economics from Kansas State University. He married Laura Mothershead in Wichita, Kansas in 1943 and moved to Los Angeles where he worked for 3 years. He then bought a farm near Ivanhoe, California and moved his wife and newborn baby to the farm where he lived for 68 years. During those years he was very active in his church and his community including 4-H leader, Elbow School Board, Tulare County Farm Bureau, Tulare County Housing Authority, jail ministry, convalescent/hospital visitation, Habitat for Humanity, and Senior Methodist Men's Bible Study. He loved the Lord, he loved people, and he loved to laugh. He was very devoted to his wife, his children and grandchildren. He was deeply respected for the dedicated and hard working life he led. He had an excellent memory of all the people he knew through the various connections throughout his 96 plus years. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Bonnie Clutter, and his wife of 59 years. Donations may be made to the Visalia Methodist Church, 5200 W. Caldwell, Visalia, CA 93277. Creative Flowers (627-0370) is handling floral arrangements. The family requests that guests retrieve floral arrangements after the service and give them to the Elderly or ill, symbolic of Harold's hospital ministry. Memorial service will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at the Visalia Methodist Church, 5200 W. Caldwell Ave. Private burial we be at the Visalia District Cemetery.
