Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 7 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, for Floyd E. Olson, 68, who died at his home in McVille, June 2.
Mr. Olson was born April 21, 1915 at Binford, son of the late Gilbert and Amanda Olson. He grew up on the family farm and went to school there. He entered the Army June 26, 1941 and served his tour of duty in World War II. He was discharged December 1, 1944. Later he worked on farms in the Kensal and Wimbledon areas and lived in Binford for a time before moving to McVille.
He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Edna Haukaas of Binford and Myrtle Anderson, Cooperstown, a brother, Arthur M. of Seattle, Washington, a half-brother, Oscar L. of Portland, Oregon and a half-sister, Clara Aasboe, Everett, Washington.
A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
