Thomas J. Derwinski passed away May 1, 2009 in Mesa, AZ. He was born September 11, 1931 in Chicago, IL where he resided until moving to Sun City West, AZ with his wife in 2000. He went peacefully, with his son Steve and daughter-in-law Kathy at his side, to join his much beloved wife, Kathleen, son Charles and brothers Paul and Casmir in God's embrace. Tom touched the hearts of all who were fortunate to have met him. He is also survived by his brother, Edward (Bonnie), sister Bernadette (Joseph) Ferrara and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tom lived his life to the fullest, always with a smile, to the very end and will be greatly missed by many! His family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Chad, his buddy 'til the end! Tom's urn will be placed with his loving wife on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery 10045 W Thomas Rd., Avondale, with military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tom's name to Cornerstone Hospice 7310 N 16th St., Ste. #230, Phoenix, AZ 85020.
