Johnnie Levert Davis, Jr. of Crosby, beloved husband, caring son, and brother, was called home to our Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2012. He died in the presence of his close and loving family. He was born February 28, 1955 in Houston to Johnnie, Sr. and Jo Elon Davis. He married Ann Davis on Christmas Day 1987 and she survives, along with his step daughter Keitha Palermo, her children, Ashley and twins Madison and Kaitlyn and step son, John and Elizabeth Powell, and their children Aidan, and Abby. And his mother Jo Elon Davis of Crosby.

Also his sister Karon Hilditch and her husband David Hilditch and nephews Jason and Brett Hilditch, and Ryan and his wife Larysa Hilditch, and great niece Hillary Hilditch; his niece Kim Doyal and her husband Edward Perez and great nephews Xander Perez, Emerson Doyal-Perez, and great niece Mina Doyal-Perez; sister-in-law Roben and her husband Mike Talton; and many loving cousin
and adopted niece Rose Marie Cleveland of Crosby.

Johnnie's admired father Johnnie Davis, Sr. and his cherished sister Lisa Davis (Doyal) preceded him in death.

Johnnie graduated form Deer Park High School in 1973 and moved to Crosby in 1982 after designing and building his first house. He loved building and construction, and enjoyed taking things apart and then putting them back together again. Johnnie loved traveling, especially to Mexico, and he loved taking cruises with his wife and family. He shared a love of fishing with his dad and had a special affinity for his boxer dogs. Johnnie was also a superb cook, cooking regularly for his family.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, Highlands. After losing his father and sister, Johnnie cared deeply about Alzheimer's and cancer research. Please send memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or The American Cancer Society.
